TCPEA Graduate Research Exchange

4th Annual TCPEA Graduate Research Exchange

Purpose: To promote the exchange and sharing of graduate student research endeavors among students and faculty from across the state

When: Friday, October 2, 2009 (in conjunction with the TASA/TASB Convention)
8:30–11:30 a.m. — TCPEA Fall Meeting (doctoral students are invited)
1–3 p.m. — TCPEA Graduate Research Exchange (proposal information below)

Where: Houston, Texas

Who: Educational Leadership Graduate students enrolled in Texas universities.

Cost: $50 for 2009-2010 membership to TCPEA (includes 2 issues of the School Leadership Review). Meeting registration free if students join TCPEA; OR $25 for registration fee to attend meeting only

Format: Two one-hour sessions of round-table-only discussions (no power-points, no over-heads). Students will be assigned to tables where they will have 15 minutes to present and discuss their research, with three (3) presentations to a table.

If accepted, students must bring 20 copies of a completed paper to be distributed at the Graduate Research Exchange. Students must also provide an electronic copy of the manuscript for publication on the TCPEA website.

Submit a one-page single-spaced abstract that includes rationale for the study, problem statement, methodology, and findings.

Proposals will be peer-reviewed. Notification of acceptance to present will be made by September 1, 2008
