The 2026 Midwinter Conference-Within-A- Conference Proposal System is Now Open!
General Proposal Guidelines Both members and non-members of TCPEA may submit proposals for consideration. Only original work that has not been previously: (a) published, (b) presented at TCPEA/TASA Midwinter Conference, and/or (c) presented at another professional meeting is eligible for consideration. If a portion of the work has been previously presented, but not published, and the new original contribution is substantial, the work is eligible for consideration, but only if the prior work is explicitly acknowledged.
Subsequently, selected presenter(s) will be provided between 10-15 minutes to present papers in a round-table format. To propose a paper for a paper session, author(s) should prepare a summary including:
(a) Title of the paper/presentation; (b) Statement of the problem; (c) Perspective(s) or theoretical framework; (d) Methods and procedures; (e) Results and conclusions, and potential implications; and (f) Educational or scientific importance of the study
Proposals that do not include these components will not be reviewed. When possible, we encourage professors to present with a practitioner in the field. Where possible, sessions will be organized around themes to promote discussion and audience interaction.
Paper sessions are organized around such topic areas as: Assessment & Accountability Leadership Career Development Community-Based Accountability System Community Engagement Digital Learning & Technology Integration/Program & Course-delivery Methods District Culture District Operations & Finance Equity & Social Justice Facility Planning/Design/Learning Environment Higher Education/Higher Education Partnerships/Educator Preparation Instructional Leadership (Coaching, Culturally Relevant Teaching, Curriculum/Instruction, Learning & Cognition) Leadership Development & Mentoring Democracy in Education Professional Development Legal Legislative & Educational Policy School Transformation Strategic Change & Planning Student Safety Principal Preparation Program Evaluation Student Support Services & Vulnerable Populations Teacher Retention & Human Resources
